Paetra Pinot Blanc 2019

Our 2019 Pinot Blanc was hand harvested from old-vines grown at 750 ft above sea-level. It was fermented in 100% neutral oak barrels. The resulting wine is very pure and mineral with hints of pear, exotic fruit and bright acidity.

Ricosoli Toscana 2016

Ruby red color with delicate aromas of red berries and small red fruits followed by a soft mouthfeel with nice acidity giving way to a well-balanced and pleasant finish.

Charles Helfenbein has been making wine in northern outposts of Cotes du Rhone since 2007. After completing degrees in oenology and viticulture, he took over the vines and cellar work that his uncle had started in the Drôme in the year 2000. Charles' first solo vintage was 2007 and he was soon thereafter recognized by Rhône authority John Livingstone-Learmouth as an "impressive newcomer." Helfenbein has quickly attained local popularity to the point where his wines sell out shortly after they are released to market.

Do such names as Hermitage, Cote-Rotie and Cornas send an expectant shiver up your spine? If so, you'll recognize that this Syrah speaks with the same accent as the above but at a fifth or tenth of the price, This is Syrah at its peppery, smoky, meaty best. Medium bodied but bursting with black berries, campfire smoke and savory nuances.
