Requiem Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

88 Points, WE. Requiem is a blend of grapes from six sites across the Columbia Valley. Each component is vinified separately and then undergoes a series of blending trials, looking for purity of fruit, complexity and outstanding quality that consistantly overperforms.

Paetra Pinot Blanc 2019

Our 2019 Pinot Blanc was hand harvested from old-vines grown at 750 ft above sea-level. It was fermented in 100% neutral oak barrels. The resulting wine is very pure and mineral with hints of pear, exotic fruit and bright acidity.

Tombacco Biferno Rosso Riserva 2014

90 Points, DWW. The brilliance of the garnet reflections on an intense ruby red, the Biferno is a wine with a full and aromatic taste. Olfactory nuances ranging from ethereal vanilla to sharp notes of spices and cinnamon. In the mouth it is rich, velvety and harmonious, perfect with meat dishes.

Domaine De Pallus Messanges Rose 2019

Ameal Loureiro 2019

With ripe citrus skin, lemon blossom, and green grass on the nose, this wine is like standing in a lemon grove on a warm afternoon. The palate is fresh and crisp, but there’s a mineral density present that gives serious structure to this otherwise fun-loving wine.

Chateau L'orangerie Bordeaux Rogue 2018

Moderately dense garnet with purple. Very appealing, clean and youthful aroma of healthy, mature dark cherry and damson plum with faint spice notes. The wine is round, supple and medium bodied and imparts a soft final impression with the barest touch of tannin.

Notes & Flavors

Cincuenta y Cinco comes from vineyards planted in 1955 which gently rest on a sea of pebbles, typical in riverbed soils. It is fermented whole cluster at very low temperatures, enhancing the floral characteristics of the wine. Cincuenta y Cinco has the highest amount of tension of all the Chacra wines while it still retains a comfortable ease. There is a wonderful purity in this wine with dried strawberry and iodine. This refined red mixes crushed bilberry and cherry fruit with undertones of smoke, game and mineral. A fine length.

100% Pinot Noir
Aged: 11 months in concrete tanks for 50% and 50% in 2nd, 3rd and 4th use French oak barrels
100% natural and unfiltered

98 Points, Wine Advocate

The 2018 Cincuenta y Cinco follows the breathtaking 2017 with an extra degree of elegance and filigree. This wine has reached an amazing level of sophistication and nuance. There are tannins there, and there's more power and clout than the lightish color and perfumed nose might point at. 2018 was an easier vintage to ferment; they had very good yields and natural balance in the grapes that were extremely healthy. They didn't need to cool down the grapes because the weather was colder, even if they picked a little earlier to avoid the need for any acidification; in Patagonia acidity can go down very quickly in the vine, so if you pick too late you need to acidify. The full clusters fermented with indigenous yeasts, and the tannins seem to be driven more by the stems than by the pips; the stems are always ripe because the luminosity in Patagonia is amazing, but the wine is at a low 12.5% alcohol. This is very low in sulfur, as they have lowered the addition of it after the experience with the Sin Azufre. Twenty-five percent of the volume matured in concrete and the rest in used barrels. The wine was kept with the lees and never racked for the eight months the élevage lasted. There is cleanliness, there's purity and, again, light and energy, and there is no reduction.”

97 Points, James Suckling

Very attractive, complex Pinot that has plenty of rich red and dark cherries on offer and a palate that carries striking purity, freshness and detail. Superb Pinot that’s long and seamless. Finishes so fresh.”
